At Medicine of Nature Entheogenic Organization (MEO), our facilitators are highly trained, experienced, and dedicated to guiding individuals through transformative journeys. Each facilitator has undergone a rigorous rite of passage and thorough training in their respective fields, becoming integral experts in their craft. MEO welcomes facilitators who carry various medicines, bringing them in through a careful vetting process to ensure safety, integrity, and impeccable standards. Above all, our facilitators prioritize care principles and harm reduction, always ensuring that each individual is supported in a safe, compassionate, and respectful environment. We hold each facilitator accountable to their own internal work, ensuring they remain in right relationship with the medicines they carry and the community they serve. This commitment to personal and collective integrity is at the heart of our mission, allowing us to create a space for healing and communion with the divine.
Each facilitator adheres to the ceremonial guidelines set by MEO that can be viewed in the link below.

James Cole
James Cole is the co-founder and Minister of Medicine of Nature Entheogenic Organization (MEO), with over 18 years of experience in ceremonial entheogenic spaces. A lifelong musician and sound maestro, James uses his musical talents to guide participants through profound journeys, enhancing the ceremonial experience with sound. He facilitates transformative ceremonies using powerful plant medicines such as Huachuma (San Pedro), Hapé, Sananga, and Mapacho.
In 2021, James was formally trained and initiated as a facilitator, and he is an initiate in Sky Spirit Shamans. In addition to his work with plant medicines, James is also a certified Reiki practitioner, using this energy healing technique to support his clients' physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. His Reiki practice complements his ceremonial work by helping to clear blockages and restore balance, creating a harmonious environment for healing and transformation.
James holds a masculine presence that creates a sense of safety for participants, allowing them to show up authentically and vulnerably. This supportive environment naturally deepens the healing process as it arises, fostering emotional release and spiritual awakening in ceremony.

Venusia Cole
Venusia Salem is a co-founder and Minister of Medicine of Nature Entheogenic Organization (MEO), dedicated to guiding individuals on their journey of healing and self-discovery. Her approach centers around the belief that healing does not come from fixing what may seem broken within us, but rather from shifting the perceptual lens through which we view the world. Venusia invites others to come into remembrance of their inherent wholeness, allowing healing to unfold naturally through this awakened understanding.
With a deep connection to the natural world, Venusia combines bodywork, energy healing, and ceremonial facilitation to create a space where individuals can reconnect with their true essence. She works with the powerful medicines of Mapacho and Huachuma (San Pedro), guiding ceremonies that encourage deep emotional release, spiritual alignment, and personal transformation.

Stray
Guest Facilitator & Yoga Instructor
Stray was born in Asheville, North Carolina, and purchased property in Hendersonville. He has explored much of the country by foot, completing all three of the long trails in the mountain ranges of the United States. Nature is a mirror to the divine, and this is where one can often find Stray in his free time, exploring, often with an animal companion, to a beloved source of water. Active in his community's yoga studios, he has also served as a volunteer firefighter for five years and is deeply invested in his cherished friend groups.
Stray is an advocate for healing all layers of the energetic body through the use of breath (prana), intentional movement and presence (asana), and the principles of the Yamas and Niyamas from yoga. His paradoxical approach is authentic, informed by time spent in silence, long water fasts, asana practice, sweat lodges, medicine ceremonies, and personal awareness of the unconditional love and support of divinity.
Healing from generational and cultural trauma and separation is the value Stray holds for others. He encourages individuals to connect with their inner power, transform incoherent energy, and discover their own authenticity and freedom from the illusion of fear. Through the activation of the chakras and raising vibrational frequencies, he inspires change within the individual that can contribute to collective healing. Stray does not teach transformative energetics to help one become the person one wants to be but to decondition old programming and help individuals remember the divinity they already are.
He looks forward to working with those who are ready to transform their life.

Matthew Wagner
Ceremonial Musician
Matthew is deeply devoted to the path of the medicine, having experienced profound, transformational plant medicine journeys over the past five years following his move from his hometown of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
He believes that psychedelic medicines offer not only powerful mental and physical experiences, but that their greatest depth and spiritual transformation emerge when they are approached as sacred medicines within the shamanic tradition. Having grown up in a deeply non-denominational evangelical community, Matthew does not view ceremony as an opposition to the church. Rather, he sees it as a catalyst for deeper, more authentic alignment between two beautiful spiritual paths.
Matthew has made a personal devotion to the path of the Medicine Wheel with MEO Church and feels a strong calling to cultivate a deepening relationship with Huachuma. He is a certified Psychedelic Integration Coach, a certified Reiki practitioner with Usui/Holy Fire III Reiki Ryoho Level II training, and a lifelong guitarist and singer. He enjoys playing music and collaborating within the ceremonial space.
